Valerie was born, raised, and grew her family in the Lower Mainland, building a varied career that included support roles with BC TEL/TELUS and several years as an education assistant in the Richmond School District. In 2022, she made the move to Vancouver Island and later that year joined the team at Chemainus Theatre, where she’s found a welcoming community and meaningful work.

She enjoys connecting with people, exploring the natural beauty of the Island, supporting local arts, and contributing to organizations that strengthen community. Valerie serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Vancouver Island board and supports CWBN through the Membership Relations Committee.
